Salmon-spiracy continues… ☠️

In December we shared the shocking and dirty truth of salmon farming in Scotland.

If lice infected salmon, animal cruelty and pollution wasn't enough... we've now discovered that the dead fish carcasses are being used to produce electricity and gas. This means homes in the UK are being powered and heated by the remains of abused animals.

That's pretty grim, but especially troubling for anyone consciously avoiding animal products.

At Ecotricity we just don't do this — and never have — we’re careful to avoid all electricity and gas generators that use animal parts. All of our energy is certified as vegan by the Vegan Society and Viva, for extra assurance.

What can you do about this awful industry? Well, it's simple:

  1. Stop buying farmed salmon.

  2. Contact your supermarket and demand they stop selling farmed Salmon.

  3. Share this video, tagging us, the supermarkets and use the hashtags
